Do to the need to provide extra protection to our visitors, hosts and members because of the Coronavirus,
the museum will be closed to the public until the end of April 2020. This break will also provide time
for the museum to prepare for reopening and to acquire additional hand sanitizer stations, and other
precautionary measures when they become available.
If you have a tour planned at this time, you will be contacted if it is deemed necessary to cancel and reschedule your tour. You may call the museum and leave a message if you want to plan a tour starting in May 2020.

Open Cockpit Days
During the summer months we sponsor Open Cockpit Days or OCDs. These family friendly events provide many opportunities for visitors to see inside the cockpits of airplanes, visit with pilots who flew the plans, visit our displays inside the museum and displays in the Air Park.
The museum has a very nice gift shop, with a variety of aviation items from under a dollar to $30.
We have clothing, toys, jewelry, postcards, books, models and so forth. You can also join the museum as a member.
Plan to stop by during our open hours and check out the items.
It is a great place to shop for a gift for that aviation enthusiast…….for a birthday, special event, Christmas and so forth.
The Logbook - 30 Years in Review
2020 marks the 36th anniversary of the museum. We are publishing our history in a series of articles in The Logbook, which is a bi-monthly publication of the Prairie Aviation Museum. We will also be publishing those articles in this area of the website.

The museum currently has two aircraft preservation projects. One of them is being restored while on display in the Chuck Schumacher Aviation Air Park.
The other aircraft is being restored and will be added to the Air Park when it is completed.
If you know of an aircraft that we might be able to acquire and restore to static preservation state, please let us know.
